Introduction
As the Chairman of the We Want World Peace Organization and a passionate advocate for global harmony, I have deeply analyzed the transformative potential of Dr. Muhammad Yunus’s “Three Zero” theory, as outlined in his book A World of Three Zeros. This revolutionary concept aims to eliminate poverty, ensure 100% employment, and achieve net-zero carbon emissions. While I fully acknowledge the importance of these goals, I believe that their long-term sustainability is under threat due to the global obsession with power, military dominance, and warfare.
To complement the “Three Zero” theory, I propose an equally crucial vision—“No War for the Next 100 Years”. Together, these two theories can reshape the world into a haven of peace and prosperity.
Understanding the “Three Zero” Theory
Dr. Muhammad Yunus, a Nobel Laureate and visionary economist, introduced the concept of a world with three zeros:
- Zero Poverty – By creating social businesses and empowering entrepreneurs, every individual can achieve financial independence.
- Zero Unemployment – Instead of relying on job opportunities, people will become job creators, fostering economic stability.
- Zero Carbon Emissions – Sustainable living and green technologies will ensure an environmentally secure future.
If implemented successfully, these three goals could eliminate economic and environmental disparities worldwide.
The Challenge: War and Global Instability
However, despite the promise of the “Three Zero” theory, its long-term success is uncertain. The world remains trapped in an endless cycle of war, conflict, and arms races. Nations are investing billions in nuclear weapons, atomic bombs, and military dominance instead of channelling resources into development and peacebuilding.
Even if a nation successfully achieves the Three Zero objectives, war between two or more powerful states could instantly erase decades of progress. A single conflict could destroy economies, disrupt employment, and devastate the environment.
A New Vision: “No War for the Next 100 Years”
To address this critical challenge, I propose a new global commitment—“No War for the Next 100 Years”. Under this theory, nations worldwide should pledge to avoid war for at least a century. This commitment would:
- Create an era of sustained peace, allowing countries to focus on economic and social development.
- Reduce military expenditures, freeing up resources for education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
- Foster international cooperation, where nations work together instead of competing through military aggression.
- Change human psychology, making war an outdated and forgotten concept over time.
If humanity commits to 100 years of peace, the habit of war will fade, leading to a new global culture based on mutual respect and collaboration. This movement will extend beyond a century and become a lasting legacy for future generations.
A Combined Solution: Two Theories for a Wonderful World
To create a truly wonderful world, we must implement both theories together:
- “Three Zero” by Dr. Muhammad Yunus – Ending poverty, unemployment, and carbon emissions.
- “No War for the Next 100 Years” by Alhaz GK Mushahid – Ensuring global peace and stability.
When these two visions merge, we will witness a world where economic prosperity and sustainability flourish without the constant threat of war. The combined impact of these theories will lead to a future where humanity thrives in peace, stability, and cooperation.
Conclusion: A Call to Action
I urge world leaders, policymakers, and every global citizen to embrace this dual vision. By committing to the “Three Zero” principles while ensuring “No War for the Next 100 Years,” we can build a world where future generations inherit peace, prosperity, and a thriving planet.
The time to act is now—together, we can make this vision a reality.
Join the movement. Pledge for peace. Create a better world.
