A Heartfelt Thank You to UN Secretary-General António Guterres and Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus

On behalf of We Want World Peace Organization, I extend my deepest gratitude to UN Secretary-General António Guterres and Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus for their recent visit to the Rohingya refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, during the holy month of Ramadan.

Their visit was not only a gesture of solidarity but also a powerful statement of commitment to addressing one of the world’s most prolonged humanitarian crises. By sharing an iftar meal with nearly 100,000 Rohingya refugees, they have shown the world the true values of compassion, empathy, and generosity.

Acknowledging Bangladesh’s Role in Humanitarian Efforts

Bangladesh has been a beacon of hope for over one million Rohingya refugees, providing shelter and support despite its own economic and environmental challenges. The commitment of the Bangladeshi government and people in hosting these displaced individuals is nothing short of commendable.

We are grateful that Mr. Guterres and Professor Yunus have acknowledged the sacrifices made by Bangladesh and have highlighted the pressing need for continued international support. With recent cuts in humanitarian aid, particularly affecting food rations, their voices play a crucial role in urging the global community to act before conditions worsen.

A Call for Peace and Dignified Repatriation

As noted by Mr. Guterres, the Rohingya people wish to return to their homeland, Myanmar, but they deserve a safe, voluntary, and dignified repatriation. The world must stand united in demanding peace in Myanmar and ensuring that the Rohingya community’s fundamental rights are restored. Their suffering should not be forgotten.

Our Commitment to Global Peace

At We Want World Peace Organization, we believe that peace begins with action. The presence of two globally respected leaders in Cox’s Bazar has reignited hope and brought international attention back to the Rohingya crisis. We pledge to continue advocating for their rights, pushing for sustainable solutions, and working with global stakeholders to promote harmony and security worldwide.

Once again, I express my deepest appreciation to UN Secretary-General António Guterres and Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus for their unwavering support and for amplifying the voices of the Rohingya people. Their leadership inspires us all to do our part in creating a world where peace, justice, and humanity prevail.
