An official letter from the Presidential Chancellery of Austria, on behalf of Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen, was recently delivered by post to the residence of Alhaz GK Mushahid in Umed Nagar, Alga Bari, Habiganj, Bangladesh.
The letter, dated 9 July 2026, expressed appreciation for Mr. Mushahid’s thoughtful offer to present an artwork as a symbol of friendship between Bangladesh and Austria. Although, under internal guidelines, the Federal President does not accept gifts outside official state visits, the Austrian Presidency conveyed its appreciation and extended warm wishes for Mr. Mushahid’s personal and professional future.
