With her demise, Bangladesh has not only lost an uncompromising political leader but also a compassionate mother who loved this country and its people throughout her life. Begum Khaleda Zia was far more than the chairperson of a political party — she was an inseparable chapter of Bangladesh’s journey toward democracy.
Her fearless leadership, unwavering determination, and lifelong struggle for democratic governance, multiparty politics, and the rights of the people will be remembered with deep respect. Despite political differences, her strong moral courage, people-oriented leadership, and resilience consistently guided the nation during critical moments of history.
