International artist, inventor, researcher, and Chairman of the We Want World Peace Organization, Alhaz GK Mushahid, has submitted an emergency application to the International Criminal Court (ICC), raising serious concerns about the environmental consequences of modern warfare, missile attacks, airstrikes, and military activities. The application was submitted to the Office of the Prosecutor and the Honorable Judges of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands.
The court authorities have officially received the submitted application and accompanying materials and provided the confirmation of the submission.
In his application, Alhaz GK Mushahid identifies ten states—the United States of America, Israel, Iran, Russia, South Korea, Ukraine, China, Turkey, Afghanistan, and Pakistan—and raises allegations concerning the environmental impact of military activities and the use of modern weapons. The application invokes Article 15(1) of the Rome Statute and refers to Article 8(2)(b)(iv) concerning serious damage to the natural environment during armed conflict. It also refers to Articles 2 and 3 of the Paris Agreement in connection with global efforts to address climate change.
According to the applicant, the continued use of missiles, aerial bombardment, and other modern military technologies may have serious consequences for the atmosphere, climate, wildlife, and the wider natural environment.
Request for an Immediate Status-Quo Order
Through the application Alhaz GK Mushahid asks the ICC to consider an immediate “As-Is” Status-Quo (Freeze) Order, under which the ten identified states would be directed to halt further military movements, missile deployments, and tactical escalations. He requests that the existing situation remain unchanged and that no further military escalation take place until the matter receives a definitive resolution.
Proposal for a Global Investigation Committee
Another major part of the application is a proposal for the formation of a Joint Global Sovereign Investigation Committee. The proposed committee includes the Secretary-General of the United Nations, heads of state and government from a number of countries, the Pope, and Alhaz GK Mushahid himself as a global peace representative and Chairman of the We Want World Peace Organization. The applicant proposes that the committee conduct an independent and non-aligned investigation into the environmental consequences of warfare and work toward a permanent mechanism for protecting the Earth’s ecosystem.
Two Original Artworks Submitted as Exhibits
Alongside the legal application, Alhaz GK Mushahid has submitted two original artworks as visual exhibits.
The artworks were created on his newly developed artistic medium using real thin-tailed sheepskin, reflecting his long-standing work as an artist and inventor.
Exhibit A Depicting missile launches with the message: “The sky burns from weapons, human history faces destruction. Let’s stop using
missiles and unite to protect.
Exhibit B depicts the impact of aerial warfare on innocent lives and nature, carrying the message:
“Hey world leaders, stop the war. Let us live. What is our crime?”
Through these artworks, the artist seeks to communicate the human and environmental consequences of armed conflict in a visual and emotional form.He believes that international cooperation, dialogue, and peaceful mechanisms are necessary to prevent further destruction and to ensure that future generations inherit a safe and livable planet.
