On the occasion of the 13th National Parliamentary Election, I, Alhaz GK Mushahid, International Artist, Researcher and Chairman of We Want World Peace Organization, extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Mr. Tarique Rahman, Chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), for securing a decisive victory with an overwhelming public mandate. The remarkable support received under his leadership represents a significant milestone for the nation’s democratic continuity and political stability. I firmly believe that his wisdom, vision, and commitment to the people will guide Bangladesh toward a more advanced, prosperous, and peaceful future. I am also hopeful that his leadership will play a meaningful role in addressing environmental pollution, strengthening climate resilience, and promoting regional as well as global peace. With deep respect, I recall the state philosophy of his father, Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, and the steadfast leadership of his mother, former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, whose ideals will undoubtedly continue to inspire his journey ahead.
At the same time, I congratulate Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, for achieving a respectable result in the election. Under his leadership, the party demonstrated political maturity by peacefully accepting the election outcome and actively participating in post-election processes, setting a responsible and constructive example that sends a positive message for the country’s political culture. In a healthy democracy, both government and opposition forces play essential and principled roles—an expectation we sincerely uphold.
Finally, I express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to the Honorable Chief Adviser of the Interim Government, Nobel Laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus, for delivering one of the fairest and most credible elections in Bangladesh since 1971.
I sincerely hope that through the collective efforts of the newly elected leadership and all political stakeholders, the values of national unity, rule of law, justice, and public welfare will be further strengthened. Bangladesh now stands at the threshold of new global possibilities; coordinated initiatives in technology, economy, human resource development, and peaceful coexistence will be the key to our shared success. May Almighty Allah guide our beloved country toward lasting peace, prosperity, and unity.
