The Mission of the We Want World Peace
Organization
Our mission is to prove without a doubt that
establishing World Peace is now possible.
We are offering a detailed and complete plan for
World Peace that explains what the people have to do, what
things have to change, and how to overcome the things that are
keeping us from living in peace today.
Nothing in our plan is impossible to achieve, in fact, what we
are proposing is a more natural and desirable course for
humanity to follow then the inhumane, uncivilized, violent, and
immoral course humanity is now on. The two big questions are, Do
You Want World Peace? Do you want to learn how it can be
achieved? If your answer is yes, will you join us?
If for some reason you thought that there was no one in this
world of six and a half billion People who was working to figure
out how this world could become peaceful and civilized, you were
wrong. This is not one of those passive movements for peace
where everyone holds hands and wishes for peace. It can no
longer be said that we do not know how to achieve peace because
we are now providing a practical, logical, and moral way peace
can be achieved.
This is a plan for World Peace that is all about the Peoples
Human Rights, international law and order, civilizing this
world, the power of The People, and restricting the use of
military force. If you think this is impossible, then read and
learn how it is much easier to achieve World Peace then it is to
undo the mistakes of the past or stop any one single war.
History proves that ending one war only provides a short period
of peace while preparing for the next war. World Peace means no
more war, ever.
What Kind of Peace Do You Want?
In our search for Peace in this world we noticed a major missing
element that needed to be addressed before the real meaning of
Peace could be defined.
There is no doubt that the 6.5 billion people
in this world, the tens of thousands of Peace organizations
worldwide, all religions and most all governments truly want to
live in a more Peaceful and civilized world, this is evident on
the streets, on the televisions, in the newspapers, on the
internet, and in most conversations people have about the world
situation. The main element missing in this worldwide conscious
awareness for establishing Peace is defining What Kind of Peace
the people want and would be willing to accept.
We are seeking answers to some questions that will identify ways
to make this world a more Peaceful place to exist in. We have
seven questions we would like you to help us answer. Even the
answers to any one of these questions will be a great help to
us, with the answer to the first question being the most
important.
(1) What Kind of Peace do you want?
(2) What would that Peace be based on and how would it be
desirable and acceptable to all people in this world?
(3) Who would achieve that Peace for us?
(4) What would that Peace cost?
(5) Would the Kind of Peace you desire have to be a managed with
a system of law and order and what would happen to anyone who
violated those laws?
(6) Who would manage that Peace for us?
(7) Who would stop the people from achieving Peace, if the
people identified what Kind of Peace they wanted?
Identifying the Kind of Peace the majority of people would want
and would accept is the most important step in achieving Peace.
There is an old saying that applies to most all achievements,
“describe what you want, everything else is just details”.
It is imperative the people come to a general
consensus on the first question of, “What Kind of Peace Do We
Want”, then figuring out how to achieve and maintain that Kind
of Peace is just details. We have to start someplace if we want
Peace in this world; this is why your help is so important to
us. If nothing else, please help us with the first question.
If answering these questions seems hard or impossible, you can
review our answers to these same questions and get some ideas
that may help you with your answers. You will have an advantage
here, because we have dedicated over Forty (40) years of
thought, study, research, discussion, and planning to find what
we believe are reasonable answers to these questions.
(1) Our answer to the first question of, What Kind of Peace do
you want, is naturally for us, “World Peace”.
This is because any real Peace has to be void
of military conflict and until all people and all governments
are included equally in a system of World Peace there will
always be a chance for military conflict.
World Peace is the Kind of Peace no person
could logically or morally find fault with or argue against
because living in Peace is a natural instinctive desire common
in all people. World Peace is the Kind of Peace, which favors
the will of the people and creates a dilemma for some of our
leaders and power brokers because there is no logical way for
anyone to convince people that living in Peace is harmful or
wrong.
Therefore, no world leader or other leaders
could stand up and tell the people that World Peace is bad for
the people or wrong for the world without being viewed as
foolish or self serving. Since the 6.5 billion people in this
world would want World Peace, all religions naturally preach
about and pray for Peace on earth and would not object to it,
and all power brokers, world leaders, governments, and
politicians must politically agree with and embrace the people’s
desire for World Peace or be removed from their political
careers, then campaigning for World Peace creates a
predominately one-sided issue for Peace, which will have no
visible opposition.
Pursuing World Peace is the logical answer to
the first question because most all people want to live in peace
and World Peace is there to be achieved without opposition when
the people are willing to pursue it.
(2) What would World Peace be based on?
There are three essential things that are
common with all people. One, the fact that all people are all
part of the same human race. Two, the fact that all people carry
the same natural, instinctive desire to survive in the most
peaceful and civilized way possible.
Three, the common human belief that all people
have an inherited entitlement to some basic Human Rights. Making
the connection between Human Rights and Peace has been the
missing element in the Peace movements because how can we
achieve Peace on earth without addressing the Human Rights and
freedom issues of all people?
Any kind of World Peace initiative will need
to offer equal Human Rights and freedom benefits for all people,
without exception. Therefore, we are calling for the
establishment of a legalized International Bill of Human Rights,
which will become the legal rights and freedoms of all people on
earth.
These Human Rights will be internationally
accepted and approved by the will of the people and not be
denied, restricted, or amended due to borders, governmental
controls, or other policies. Human Rights are the personal
rights of the people, not owned by governments or others, and
the people, if they choose, have every right to draw up and
adopt an agreeable written Bill of Human Rights, which will be
universally accepted as the legal rights and freedoms of all
people in this world.
The Bill of Human Rights would establish a
standard value for all human life, which would entitle all
people to be treated as equal citizens of this world. Adopting
Human Rights as the centerpiece for establishing World Peace
will be another predominately one-sided and unopposed issue for
Peace because no person will attempt to publicly deny the people
the right to establish and adopt a written, legalized, and
universally accepted Bill of Human Rights.
We have adopted the Human Rights Articles of
the United Nations and added one Human Right that basically
states that all people have a right to live in peace. This one
new Human Right Article, as written would legally outlaw all
war, military conflict, or the use of military threats by
governments or leaders to intimidate people or nations.
This new Human Rights Article we added would
essentially replace all aspects of the uncivilized, un-natural,
barbaric, illogical, immoral and ignorant acts of war-making
with a civilized system of international law and order, which
values all human life above individual power or profit. These
two issues, World Peace and Human Rights combined, makes
achieving Peace on earth possible right now because neither
issue can logically or morally be disputed or opposed by anyone.
(3) Who will achieve that World peace for us?
There is a general misconception that some
world leader, government, or other unknown entity owns the Peace
and can at any time grant Peace to the world. This is totally
wrong; the reality is, if the people want World Peace they will
have to earn it just like anything else they want.
The people are the greatest power in this
world when they unite and function as a collective group to
achieve anything that benefits all. All people possess two key
elements that gives them power, one element is the right to put
their supporting efforts behind the things they feel benefits
them, like politicians, governments, religions, businesses,
etc., the other element is the people’s purchasing power.
If the vast majority of people were united in
pursuing World Peace they would naturally have the right to not
support or do business with any politician, government, business
or corporation, or others who took a stand against their goal to
establish World Peace. No politician can get elected; no
government or business can survive without the support and the
constant flow of money provided by the people.
With the enormous power of support and
finances the people possess, no one will openly oppose the
people in their quest to establish World Peace without expecting
some repercussions. The key to establishing World Peace is
creating a visible worldwide conscious awareness where all
people demonstrate publicly that they want, and are supporting
the efforts to achieve World Peace. Simply, the people need to
display publicly the words, "We Want World Peace" on their
homes, in their yards, on their autos, in their businesses,
churches, and on their person.
This public display would be a peaceful
demonstration of unity and power by the people notifying the
world of their intention to support only those who want and are
pursuing World Peace. The growing numbers of people willing to
publicly state and demonstrate their desire for World Peace will
bring about a tipping point where World Peace becomes possible
and is achieved.
The best part is; each person only has to
agree to not support or do business with anyone that is not
publicly working directly with the people in their pursuit of
World Peace. The beauty of the people exercising their power
while pursuing the World Peace issue is the fact that not much
will change in what politicians we support, or where we do
business because all politicians know logically they cannot
campaign against the people’s wishes and succeed, and a peaceful
world creates an economic boom for the people and all
businesses. Achieving World Peace is simply a choice a majority
of people must make, and all others will follow.
(4) What would World Peace cost?
This is easy to answer; first of all it makes
no difference what it cost because what ever it cost will be
worth it. The truth is; World Peace will cost only a fraction of
what it cost to constantly prepare for and wage war.
Individually, each person can place his or her own value on what
they are willing to spend to achieve World Peace. Basically,
donations to those who are leading the cause for World Peace
always helps, beyond that the cost of signs stickers and other
things to publicly show your support for World Peace is a choice
each person has to make. The main cost will be in the time and
effort you are willing to contribute to the campaign for
achieving World Peace.
(5) Will the kind of World Peace we want need to be managed by a
standard system of law and order?
We say yes, because all human existence is
based on creating systems to function within. Man has created
the systems of government, religion, commerce, communications,
health, education, and so on. To think that we could have Peace
without a physical management structure in place is foolish.
Mans natural instinct is to survive, and to
survive in the best way possible early man reasoned and figured
out if people were going to live together there would need to be
some rules to live by. The most important system man has ever
created is the systems of law and order because without a system
of law and order there could be no civilized way to exist
together as a human race.
Logically, there can be no real Peace in an
uncivilized world, and a civilized world needs to be one that
functions within a system of law and order. In relation to
creating World Peace, which would be based on an internationally
accepted and legalized Bill of Human Rights, establishing a
system of international law and order is needed to guarantee and
protect the people’s Human Rights and freedoms.
With no visible opposition to achieving World
Peace or establishing a legalized Bill of Human Rights there
certainly should be no objections to establishing the
international laws required to protect the Human Rights and
freedoms of the people. All systems of law and order come about
by authority of the will of the people who willingly agree to
accept and abide by those laws, which enhances their individual
safety and survivability.
The benchmark of any civilized society, rather
it be local, national, or international is justice, and justice
is defined in the systems of law and order where all are
accountable for their crimes against humanity. When the people
agree to accept and honor a new set of international laws they
will make sure their leaders and governmental structure will
also honor and abide by those international laws or they will
replace those leaders or governments in one way or another.
The second part of the question is about what
happens to anyone who violates those international laws? This is
simple, just like in any system of law and order when someone
breaks the law they will be arrested and prosecuted. Under the
international system of law and order, the arrest and
prosecution of violators would include world leaders, members of
governments and government agencies, politicians, religious
leaders, corporate leaders, and others violators.
(6) Who would manage that Peace for us?
In all the different systems the people have
created throughout history, each system requires a management
structure and creating a new system of World Peace would be no
different. Our answer here is creating what we call The Global
Peace Organization or GPO, which would be designed to be the
overseer and protector of the peoples legalized Human Rights and
freedoms.
This would be similar to the United Nations
with the exception it would be managed by the people, for the
people, and have no ties to any governmental controls or
influences. This GPO would get its legal authority from the will
of the people and have the legal authority and means to enforce
the international laws necessary to protect the Human Rights and
freedoms of all people.
This GPO would have a legal mandate from the
people to build and operate an international court of law, and
international laws which would prosecute all violators of the
peoples Human Rights and freedoms. This GPO would have a legal
mandate from the people to build and operate an international
peacekeeping style police force, which will function like any
police force in any system of law and order.
The General Assembly body of the GPO will be
made up with representatives from each country and function as
the international prosecuting attorney by committee. Under the
new international laws each government will be legally bound to
honor and abide by while also enforcing the international and
Human Rights laws within their country. All the international
laws and Human Rights laws the GPO is mandated to enforce will
be accepted and approved by the people and the people must
approve all changes to those laws.
(7) To understand the full impact of the question:
"Who can stop the People from achieving
World Peace" we would need to first visualize two things.
One, imagine a massive amount of people
worldwide campaigning for World Peace and, Two, picture any
leader, whether it be governmental, religious, or corporate,
publicly facing those people and explaining their position on
World Peace and Human Rights. Would those leaders yield to the
will and power of the people or would they foolishly take the
chance and attempt to deny that the people deserve Human Rights
or the opportunity to live in peace?
There is nothing the power brokers could offer
the people in exchange for them giving up their Human Rights,
freedoms, World Peace, and their dreams and hopes for a better
and more secure existence on this earth? Our answer to this
question is; no person can stop the people from achieving World
Peace.
FINALLY:
If World Peace is the Kind of Peace the people
choose, then that Kind of World Peace must comply with the
common belief that all people are equals in their entitlement to
Human Rights and freedoms and equals in the protections of those
Human Rights and freedoms; it must comply with the principles of
free democratic choice amongst all people, it must comply with
free and willing adherence to a system of international law and
order, it must comply with the theory of co-operation amongst
people not competition between people, it must comply with the
principles of peaceful and civilized achievement, which benefits
all people, it must be non-partisan and non-discriminatory, it
must provide protections for the sovereignty of all nations, it
must ensure that all civilized social, cultural, and religious
beliefs are secure and un-compromised, it must serve the good of
all people and all countries, and be of the people, by the
people, and for the people.
We have met these requirements in our answers
and we need your answers to meet these same requirements.
On this website, there are more details and information
regarding our plan for achieving World Peace, which was based on
the answers to the questions we ask in our survey. This website
represents our views on how we could kick-start a movement to
achieve a real functioning Peace in this world.
Any suggestions you can offer are welcome and
appreciated. It is our belief that when we say we want Peace, we
must show the Kind of Peace We Want and provide the details for
how that World Peace can be achieved and maintained. We know we
cannot achieve Peace for you, but we can achieve Peace with you.
Each person has some responsibility if Peace is to be achieved,
we cannot believe that someone else is responsible for providing
us with the Kind of Peace we think we deserve.
You can use the e-mail addresses on this
website to send your answers, suggestions, or opinions.
Thanks.
From the (The World Peace Think Tank) Jim, Duffy, Marva, Dave,
Brian, Marilyn, and all the other wonderful people who are
contributing to the cause for Peace.
World Peace can only be
achieved by replacing War with a system of International Law
and Order based on Human Rights. It's that simple!
